The Yale Dramatic Association’s FroShow 2019

The Dramat’s FroShow is a production produced, directed, designed and performed entirely by first-year student. As the director selected for my year, I set out to create a production grounded in exposure. We built a world of neutrals (wood textures, beige fabrics, black suits) that could be viscerally disrupted by the spread of vibrant radium in every aspect of the design. Select moments of blacklight helped reveal scenic and costume elements hiding in plain sight, under the nose of both the characters and the audience.
